[Search for a new bag.]

It seems like every spring I get the itch for a new handbag.  Here's some of the styles I've been into lately.
search for new bag: bucket
search for a new bag: envelope clutch
search for a new bag: squareby HollySarah.

Which style is your favorite?

Gold.

I am usually *not* drawn to gold, and always choose silver pieces for my jewelry collection.... until this winter! More recently, I am loving the warmth of gold, and it's classic charm.  The photo above is a collection of my favorite gold pieces by Stella & Dot.  Their recent Spring/Summer catalogue has really inspired me to wear more gold this year! I am excited about this trend.

Another gold beauty that has my heart....

Do you prefer gold or silver?

Delilah & Sparkleberry Crafts

My Mom stumbled upon Sparkleberry Crafts on Etsy, and had to get Delilah one of the many many adorable crocheted hats!  It was hard to choose which one, but I think this one is perfect for Miss Fawn. This one is another favorite.  It's funny because Sparkleberry is a shop owned by a woman in Altona, Manitoba, which is where my Mom grew up!
I just love it, and had to do a photo shoot of her wearing it.  She had all kinds of faces for me to go with it. ;)

Be sure to check out all the cute styles of hats for babies. There's even some for boys too!

Delilah is 8.5 months old now (can you even believe it?!) and she's the sweetest little thing.  I am loving her personality, and cherish all of her snuggles. She's a girly little girl who loves hugs and kisses (much unlike her brother!).  She still has NO teeth, but lots of rosy cheeks and pain which tell that they are on their way, hopefully soon!  She is sitting like a pro, but shows no interest whatsoever to standing.  She eats a wide variety of foods already, strained of course due to lack of teeth, and I love feeding her with a spoon... one of my favorite baby stages!

Simon and his little sister are learning how to play and share, and it's wonderful watching them grow.

[Current Obsession] - earth tones.

[shoes from Gilt today. They have a fabulous collection of earth toned apparel!]

Right now I find myself drawn to nude tones, in everything!  I love the shades of beige, mink, mushroom, taproot, nude, cream...  I really like the combination of earth tones this winter. Grey & brown, cream & beige.   I'm mostly obsessed with shoes in this color, and am currently on the hunt for the perfectly nude handbag. (don't know what it is about spring, but I always get the itch for a new bag!)

Today's outfit:

Boots: Madden Girl (a steal for $22!)
Skirt: Mad About Style Boutique
Cardigan: Old Navy
Black tank & tights: Joe
Camilla Ring & Revival Tassel Necklace/Bracelet: Stella & Dot

[Fancy Spectacles]

I've been on the look out for a new frame for a couple of years now.  I wear contact lenses daily, and feel like giving my eyes a break from them. I want to find a pair of glasses that I love, that I can wear to work, during the day etc.  I have glasses, but I've had them for years, and I don't like them anymore... I just wear them at home, and before I go to sleep.

My Dad is an Optician, so while I was browsing some eyewear magazines at his place, I was very drawn to an ad for Scandinavian Eyewear.  After browsing the site, I fell in love with their design.  Here's my two favorite styles....

These are some other eye catching favorites....

**update: My Dad has informed me (since reading this post) that he's going to gift me part of the cost for iLasik, laser eye surgery!!!!! yeah. wow. So we're working towards that goal now! These frames are still beautiful though... ;)

Stella & Dot S/S'11

The new Spring/Summer Collection for Stella & Dot was launched this past week, and here's my top picks! (View the entire collection here)

1. Revival Tassel Necklace (My favorite!!)

Blog I Love & Fashion Planner!

Meet the Stylit! It's your daily fashion planner that allows to plan out your outfits, sketch inspiration and build your style!  I found the Stylit on Beth Jones' blog.  Beth created this fabulous planner, and you can get yours here! I knew that it would make the PERFECT gift for my bestie, Jenna, who loves fashion.. and planning!  When purchasing it for her, I knew I was going to want one, so I snuck 2 in the cart, whoops! ;)  I've really enjoyed it so far.

I love being able to sketch out cute outfit ideas, and plan out my week at the same time.  I can sketch different hairstyle ideas, jot which Stella & Dot I want to accessorize with, and remember my schedule and appointments all in the same place. Fabulous.

I really enjoy reading Beth's blog, and am always inspired by her outfit posts.  She posts hair and makeup tutorials as well, and I really recommend checking it out! XO

[Etsy Favorites] - January

1. Olive Oxford Pumps at MsTips (ps, they're my size!) ;)
2. Cream Crochet Lace Skirt at Ramona West
4. Lace Peter Pan Collar at girlandbird

These things have caught my eye this month... so pretty!

I was out all day with a migraine, which was terrible! I never get migraines or headaches for that matter, and I'm hoping it doesn't happen again for a long time!! I was thankful for childcare, and my mom for cooking us supper.
I've been sketching out ideas and planning for some really pretty/unique accessories for Spring/Summer, and I can't wait to show you!! I'm waiting on some supplies in the mail, and need to make a craft store run asap! I just love feeling inspired! Hope everyone is having a great week.

[Fashion*Loves] - Rodarte Spring 2011

Rodarte's Spring 2011 line is beyond gorgeous. I am in LOVE with the colors and textures. I think these colors are perfect. There isn't one piece of the collection that I do not absolutely love.

Another thing I love about Rodarte, is that they collaborate with Aveda for the runway shows! Laura Mulleavy describes the hair as how a teenager would style it themselves.  Everything is side-swept and has carved wood accents (barettes).  She says the feel for the hairstyles was to create volume the way one would on their own, maybe getting knotted or messy on one side, but it will never look the same on each person. Organic and youthful.  I love it.

I know I have been blogging a lot about fashion lately, but I have been working more at the salon, which inspires me in hair and fashion.

What's been inspiring you lately?

[Fashion] - fur is cute.

FAKE FUR VEST (ps: I totally bought one exactly like this for Delilah last week, it's adorable. From Joe)

Wishing you warmth and fur accessories this month. :)

[Fashion] - feeling rosy.

OPI Dulce De Leche (I'm wearing this shade today. Love it.)

Lately, I've been inspired by floral prints, and feminine patterns.  This inspiration led to the design of my latest headbands.  I love the cream/pink/beige "tea rose" color combination.

Here's a few of my rosy favorites from Ruche.

Thanks to you who have made purchases from You're Fancy today!

*You're Fancy.* SHOP UPDATE!

I listed a few new Blossom Headbands and Blythe Berets in You're Fancy. etsy shop.
The lovely Jocelyn modeled them for me. (She's a stylist at the salon)

I enjoyed making these so much! There's only a few for now, and hopefully more designs will make their way into the shop this Spring.
Happy Tuesday!

You're Fancy loves Blythe, too!

Along with the new headbands, I've decided to put a few of my crocheted Slouch Berets in "You're Fancy" for tomorrow's update.  I used the last of my most favorite yarn in the whole world for these cute hats (no joke)! They are made with hand-dyed cashmerino yarn (cashmere/merino wool blend).

I've certainly enjoyed spending time with my yarn and hook the last few days. :)
