"A woman's work is never more important than her art." - Rachel
....then why have I not made any art in the past year?
I had a Guest at the salon this evening who shared with me that she enjoys Art Journaling, and decided to start her own blog! It reminded me of when I would sit down at my desk, surrounded by supplies, ephemera, and inspiration just waiting to be made into a work of art... I sure miss those days.
Remembering this time makes me even more excited to get my new creative space in the works. Every little bit of motivation counts. So thank you, Julia.
Looking back at some of favorite art journal pages...
...makes me wonder what my pages would look like if I started again.

Try again! I think they would look great with all the new experiences you had last year...you are so creative. Hope to see some of your work soon! And most important: enjoy!

I used to scrapbook and never do any more - I still hang on to the supplies though in case the urge should strike again
ReplyDeleteHappy to help! :)

I think you should start journalling again! Your art journals were one of the first I posted in my "Sweet Visual Treats" feature this year:

I've been wanting to get back into art journaling for a while - it's something I miss so much! I'll have my own office next week, and I'm so excited to start doing things like this again. :)
ReplyDeleteAaw - go for it, when you have a moment! :) It's really good for the soul!
ReplyDeleteI like this, and I also love the Ruche looks.
ReplyDeleteCame here on Elsie's recommendation and I like it :)
