I love makeup, and I wear it pretty much everyday. Sometimes I wish I was one of those people that didn't "need" to wear makeup everyday, but I deal with a blemished complexion, uneven skin tone etc, so I prefer to wear it. I really believe in using great quality cosmetics on my skin, and I thought it would be fun to share with you what's in my makeup bag!
I have brown eyes, and I love neutral colors. The look I go for is warm neutral with a retro cat eye and peachy cheeks. :)

3. Kat Von D True Love eyeshadow palette (I use this when I want a bit more color to my look, there's some pretty plum/purple shadows in this palette)

5. Maybelline "The Colossal" Volum' Express mascara (my favorite!!)
When I wear darker eye shadow, I leave the lips nude with a bit of gloss, but when I do just a light shimmer shadow on my eyes, then I like to line my lips and use a matte lipstick.

I've tried a LOT of foundations, and I asked for your opinions on Twitter, and thank you to whoever suggested Makeup Forever, because I love their products!! The gal at Sephora recommended it for me as well, so I was sold. I am waiting to use up my current concealer so I can get the Makeup Forever one!

ReplyDeleteThe single best makeup product I have is Smashbox's makeup primer (and they have one for blemished prone skin, which I use!). Since using it I have less pimples, use less of my other makeups (because I'm not overusing foundation or concealer to cover up), and never have to reapply anything!
It's around $40, which is bit pricey but it worth EVERY penny!!! I'd pay twice as much, seriously.
I *love* seeing inside people's makeup bags! My one product I couldn't live without is an eyeshadow base. Eyeshadows have such better staying power and color intensity with them. I like the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion as well as the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

ReplyDeleteA good pinky nude lipstick is great - Ive used it on my lips cheeks and eyes at times. Although Im not sure if on the eyes is a good thing hehe - on the cheeks is great :)
ReplyDeleteI need to update my makeup sooo badly!! I've been looking for a peachy pink blush, that case is so pretty! Right now I'm using the orange Lash Blast, and I like that it makes my lashes so long because my eye lashes are puny! I just don't like that it makes them feel so crunchy
ReplyDeleteLove all the Mac that you have!! I agree in that I only like good quality makeup. You don't want something cheap that isn't good for your skin.
ReplyDeleteMy fave, can't-live-without makeup product is definitely Mac's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. That stuff covers and wears so well, is great on my dry and sensitive skin, and is totally worth the money!
