I always get excited when the box of new polishes arrive at the salon with the release of a new collection! This year, the Spring/Summer collection by OPI, Texas, has so many great shades! Here's my choices for a February pick-me-up manicure. :)
1. San Tan-tonio - this fawn shade is sophisticated and such a pretty neutral.
2. It's Totally Fort Worth It - This subtle grey shade has the perfect amount of shimmer, and a "barely there" feel.
3. Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? - So bright! This cheerful orange just screams warmer weather!
4. Guy Meets Gal-veston - this glossy candy pink is perfect for Valentine's Day! (Try it with Black Shatter!)
"Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?" and "Guy Meets Gal-veston" are Sorbet-like shades, which are more translucent and give them a candy look. So pretty!
Another fun polish that has literally *flown* off the shelves at the salon is the new Black Shatter that was released with the Katy Perry collection of polishes. It's so fun, and adds a bit of edgy appeal to your outfit. (I'm wearing the shatter polish over top of It's Totally Fort Worth It in the top photo)
Two of my cold-weather must haves for hands are Aveda's Hand Relief, and All-Sensitive Body Formula. Rub a small amount of the Body Formula oil into your cuticles and around your nails where your skin gets the driest and follow with a pea sized amount of Hand Relief, and your hands will thank you! (I'm serious, so silky soft) :)

You've got the crackly kind!! I'm so excited to try that. I vowed no more polish purchases for a while, but I think these are special circumstances.
ReplyDeletelove those colors! I can't wait to find the shatter it's like thirty bucks on eBay!
ReplyDeletelove it! thanks for the post holly, wow those new O.P.I colors are amazing, if only we were all on the same seasons at the same time! Im seeing more darker tones as we head into Autumn here soon.
ReplyDeleteI need that shatter so bad, ugh ebay is the only option so far, Aus needs to hurry up and catch up ;)
xx
Jodie: If I can get more in stock at the salon then I can definitely send you a bottle!! I'll let you know. ;)
ReplyDeletei'm all about pretty ballet slipper pink colors- i think i'm completely rejecting winter at this point. my fall back is always a grey-ish taupe from opi though . . . looks similar to your choice #2!
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing the Shatter right now! It's so fun and funky. I have it layered over the pinky-puplish shade from the Katy Perry line, can't remember what's it called.
ReplyDeleteI love that you feature colours on here! I'm really liking It's Totally Fort Worth It, may just have to go and get some! have a good one.
ReplyDeleteI love that shatter stuff! I've never seen it before. Great color choices too :)
ReplyDeletehow do you apply your shatter polish? i find that mine doesn't crack as nice as yours.. maybe i should do a thicker layer?
ReplyDeleteSteph - it works best when the under-polish is completely dry dry. I do one swipe with the brush to prevent it from getting "clumpy". Thicker layers of Shatter seem to crack a little better than thin layers I have found.
ReplyDeletethanks!! will try that tomorrow. : )
ReplyDeleteOooh - how rad is that shatter polish?? Awesome! Need me some of it. And I *love* your color picks!! :)
ReplyDeletei MUST try that shatter nail polish! love it!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... I remember crackly nail paint! I used to LOVE that stuff. I didn't even know it was still available. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are so fun! I really need to give my nails a good polish, but I always seem to be doing something and forget!
ReplyDeletevery exciting, i love doing my nails! some times i still feel like a 13 year-old girl when i do them ;)
ReplyDeletei really want to try out nude polish, and i love that crackle polish is back!
