My weekend was most wonderful. Everything you could ask for: friends and good company, relaxing, yummy food (cupcakes!), starbucks, great conversation, meeting new friends, travels with my baby girl... it was so much fun!I left friday morning, for Grand Forks ND, and flew with a baby for the first time. She did really good, but needed to be fed almost the entire time we were ever in the air. The traveling was fun, and I had lots of coffee rewards for making my flights on time, and being organized. ;)
Here's some highlights of the trip....
Emma's fabulous cupcakes. I had the pleasure of helping her decorate some of them, and they were *SO* tasty, take my word for it. Y'all are going to have to come to Red Velvet once she's got the bakery side of things underway...mmm.

Being asked to be one of Elsie's bridesmaids! She surprised us all. I'm so honored and get so giddy when I hear of the plans taking place.

Getting my Red Velvet tattoo. (I'll have to get a better photo once it's healed)
Bookstore date with Elsie & Emma.I had the best iced caramel macchiato ever, browsed magazines about halloween, weddings, and modern furniture, and made my Nook purchase! Book stores are my favorite place.

Dolls! It was so fun to see all our Blythes together.
I sent Talula home with Katie for a makeover, and I'm very excited to see her when she's done! It was so great to meet Katie and her family, too!
Finally giving Elsie & Jeremy their house warming gift. (a pretty paint-by-number)
Spending lots of time with Rachel!

It was such a fun time, and I miss everyone already, but I'll be back in spring! :) Hope everyone enjoyed their labor day weekend.
..... back to the laundry. :P

It looks like you had a great time!! Love your new tattoo!! Do you LOVE your Nook?? I got one for my bday in August and I'm obsessed. Problem is, I keep wanting to buy books but I need to read what I have first! haha. I found some great classic books for free at http://manybooks.net/ :)

That is so sweet! The cupcakes look gourmet!
ReplyDeleteThey're a type of boba ball, but instead of being tapioca, they're filled with orange juice :)

ReplyDeleteWe have Orange Leaf here, too--Henry LOVES that place!
I can't see the fruit in the photo, but I'm guessing they were kumquats. Are they slightly oval with a skin that is line a very thin orange peel?
