[Watch this.]

Marcie is a stylist at our salon, and she made this video demonstrating the newest Aveda hairspray. :)
She is entered in a contest and the video with the most views wins! If you could help out, click here and watch her video! Thanks so much! If any of you ever have any questions about Aveda or their products, I would love to answer them!

Much love.
ps: I'll be back later with a make-up post!

  1. I really love most all Aveda products. Ive been using their skin care line forever and just recently started using their hair products and LOVE them so far. I was wondering if you had any advice on going super short with hair? Any ways to "cheat" and stay longer in front and short in the back? Also, any suggestions on prolonging/achieving a really vibrant red color? I have dark brown hair and am thinking about going bright dark copper red. Thanks so much! (sorry for the novel-length comment!)

I always like to keep some length around my face when going with a shorter cut. It's not as "scary" then, and it's very flattering for most people. Try a chin length cut with lots of texture, and play with it. See how you enjoy it, and go shorter next cut if you do! Try something asymmetrical if you want to add a more creative edge, or try it before going shorter, just for fun. :)
A good shampoo is a MUST when going red. Believe me. I use Aveda Color Conserve shampoo & conditioner, as well as the Color Conserve strengthening treatment. Any salon shampoo that is "color preserve" will do. If you're going to pay hundreds on your color, don't use a $3 shampoo. Also, after your color, don;t wash it for a few days (as long as you can go without shampooing) to let it really lock in. Try washing it with cooler than usual water also.
I think a dark copper would look great on you!!
    Hope that helps! xo
