My sister Lauren got married on Saturday! It was a great day. It poured rain in the morning, but by the time for the ceremony, it was hot and sunny! I had a great time helping Lauren get ready in the morning. I did her hair, and helped her into her *gorgeous* wedding dress.

Lauren is so talented when it comes to make-up, and she did her own. Beautiful or what!? I hope she goes into cosmetology for make-up artistry, like she wants.
Here we head out to find Lucas.. she peeks around the corner to see if he's there.
Check out her shoes!
They were the *cutest* couple of all time. :) Lucas was all smiles from ear to ear when he saw Lauren.

My Mom was a freakin bombshell, too!! lol. I did her hair too, and I thought she looked gorgeous.

The cute couple.
After the ceremony, on the way to the reception (which was at a little bar/lounge called The Nook) we got stopped in traffic, because The Queen Elizabeth was driving down Broadway from The Legislative Building! How cool is that? It was good timing. (Check out her cool license plate, ha!) Ryan got out of the car with my camera and only got the photo once she had passed, but he saw her and her cute little Queen wave.
My Mom and I designed the centerpieces and they looked great! We were so happy with how they turned out.
My Mom ordered "Manzanita" branches online, and we put them in a tall cylinder vase filled with "Water Pearls" aka best idea ever!! They reminded me of bubble tea. You put the tiny little pearls in the vase, and add a bunch of water, and they expand to fit the vase. We put purple carnations at the base of the branches, and hung crystals on them. I took the glass crystals off of the chandelier in my bedroom actually! lol

Her flowers were so pretty.
Their first dance was to "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. Adorable.

Oh my goodness! What a gorgeous bride your sister was! I loved all of the details, and especially that they danced to "The Luckiest." So perfect.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your beautiful sister and her adorable hubby! <3
So pretty! I've always wanted that Ben Folds song to be my first dance at my wedding!

ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog, and I LOVE your photos! I myself love photography, and I was wondering, how did you do the one of you and your sister(s) that is kinda, um, lightened? Not sure how you'd describe it. LOL! I love how it looks like its so bright, but the colors look muted in a way. I'm looking for ways to jazz up my ordinary pictures, and I love the look of those two photos! Wanna share your secret? lol
