My SIL Jackie, and I, found a great spot to set up our tripods, and experimented with taking photos of the local fireworks with our Canons. :)
Just wanted to share some of the shots I got. Sometimes I miss always having my DSLR around... we need to rekindle our friendship I think.

Looks like you had a great time, those photos are pretty cool :)
ReplyDeleteI was trying to take fireworks pictures with my Canon this weekend, but just couldn't get the settings right to see any color! How'd you do it??
ReplyDeleteCool shots Holly! I tried to get some, but only one turned out. Did you get eaten up by mosquito's too?
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures of the fireworks!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I should have gone out to see them, but I got way too much sun at the street festival and flopped :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey: my settings were 10 second exposure, f/8, iso 100. I used a tripod as well.
ReplyDeleteHeidi: the mosquitos weren't bad! We were by the old boat dock and it was windy enough that they didn't bug us.
Oh that's good! We were...across the lake from the beach, we tried standing in the water to ward off the mosquitos, but I ended up with a lot of new bites. It was worth it though :)
