We're feeling more and more at HOME in our new home, and loving it more and more too. Still not totally unpacked, and there's still countless loads of laundry to do, and boxes to sort through, but we're getting there.
I looooove my kitchen. It's been fun organizing it, and baking lots of goodies in it. :) So far I've made an applesauce cake, mexican hot chocolate cookies, and many meals in it! Call it nesting...
My little coffee corner.
Where we dine. I love all the natural light this house gets.
A lil peek at the bathroom, it's not totally decorated yet, but my Underwear Love painting is all it needs for now. :) I have some crates coming from Pretty Zakka Shop (link in sidebar) that I want to put to good use in there.
Our bedroom... I'm in love with the 3D blossoms on the wall.

A little spring-y house warming gift from... myself, lol.
Our living room is definitely bigger than the one we were used to, so it looks so empty!! Rome wasn't built in a day though.... and I'm trying to be patient until we get our wall shelf from Ikea, and find the perfect pair of chairs, and a nice area rug.
I'm still in the decorating process, and I don't have a whole lot of stuff that I love love to decorate with, but I did manage to find a cute spot for my Ashley G porcelain artwork pieces. I love them and I want to collect a few more. :) I have a few more paintings by Elsie that I have to hang (have to find the perfect spots!) but other than that I'm starting with a clean slate..... It'll be fun to make it our own, and decorate it with pretty things that I find in the future.

One of Ryan's friends from highschool has opened a cute little coffee shop in the Southland Mall in Winkler, called Jonny's Java. I've been hearing great things about it since it opened, so I finally got to go there and see for myself today. I had a half toffee/half hazelnut latte, as per Jeff's recomendation and it was fabulous! So all you Mordenites/Winklerites out there should totally go check it out. mmmmm
This afternoon I did something I haven't done in almost an entire year... art journalling. It felt *so* good. I'm really looking forward to Elsie & Rachel's next class, Tell Your Story. Here are my pages from the bonus tutorials.
Well, that was nice to blog again! We'll be getting the internet on Tuesday I hope, so then it'll be back to normal. :)
I'm having my Mom & Dave over for dinner, and I'm making greek pitas.....
Have a great weekend! XO

Dude. :) Your art journal pages rock!! Love em to bits. :) And your house is looking super-cute - the underwear painting totally makes the bathroom. Happy decorating!

Mae: the duvet cover is Gluckstien from Home Outfitters. It's called Sakura. :)
ReplyDeleteAleksandra: the journal I'm using is 8.5 x 11" with 50lb paper, which is much thinner than cardstock, but it works. I'm sure you could find one online.
