The oh-so-lovable Fujifilm Instax camera. One of my favorite purchases from 2009, for sure. I'm sure a lot of you readers either already have one, or have heard of them. (look at the newer model!)..

I have the Choco one.
The photos are a cute size, and the "instant" factor is so satisfying, especially when art journalling, or traveling.

I love Elsie's little instax display (she's got lots of great ideas of how to use these photos in projects, and around the home).

I love Danielle's instax Blythe photos.
I was thinking about making it a goal to use it more, and take more photos with it, especially during these precious days at home with Simon (and soon to be Delilah!). I plan on keeping my photos in a cute album! This etsy shop has a great selection of cute polaroid albums.
...she's got some cute Shinzi Katoh designs as well!
I got one just like this (in yellow) and can't wait to fill it up! It's going to be a perfect little coffee table book, and I think my kids will love to look back at these charming little photos, and have a cute keepsake.
There's something very special about instant photos, and I just wanted to share this plan I had, with you. How many of you have an instax camera? Do you love it? Do you use it all the time?

I've got an instax mini last year (blue) and I love love it but film is very expensive so I can't indulge in taking random shots ):
ReplyDeletebut those are really lovely albums! I shall check them out ;D thanks for sharing!
I have the same one as you - the choco! I absolutely love it. I use it for a lot of projects and every day shots. I recently went to Disney World, and it was the perfect way to capture some moments.
ReplyDeleteI also use it to take a picture of everyone that comes to our house, and then we post it on the side of the fridge. Guests have a fun time looking at the pictures of people and seeing if they know anyone!
Also I am totally going to buy one of those albums for the extras I do not have displayed. Thanks for the linky!
I just ordered one for myself for Mother's Day :) Should arrive sometime this coming week, and I'm OH SO EXCITED! I'm planning on making great use of the photos in my art journal {taking Elsie & Rachel's class, though I've yet to actually get started on my pages...the last few weeks have been crazy!}
ReplyDeleteThose albums are so lovely...I'll have to investigate them further.
LOVE your blog!
I got an Instax in 2009 (white) and I adore mine! I love your idea of making a mini album with all the Instax photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link!! I bought a purple one for my instants :) I have the cream fuji and I bought it at Urban Outfitters-I love how they have unique things like that!
ReplyDeleteXOXO

ReplyDeleteI actually just received a Fuji instax as an early birthday present from my boyfriend. We've already taken a few photos, and I'm in love with it. I have the all white one from Urban.
Can't wait to see more of your instax photos!

i have the white instax and i LOOOOVE it! paisley loves the little pictures and how they "zoom" out the top. i wish the film was a little cheaper, but it doesn't really stop me from buying it whenever i'm at urban.

I've been hearing so much about this little camera! I think I'm going to have to look into one. I love the tones if gives pictures. Definitely has that old school feel <3
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I love this post!!
ReplyDeleteI knocked over my stack of instax mini pics last night and I was trying to figure out what on earth to do with them...these albums are amazing!! :)
I was given mine at the beginning of last year by my boyfriend, and he loved it so much I ended up buying him and my bestie one! :)
Now I always have far too many cameras in my bag - but I wouldn't have it any other way :)
x
i want one oh so bad! maybe for mothers day?!?!? i looked on ebay but saw that most sellers we overseas. where did you get yours?!?
ReplyDeletexoxo.
is the film expensive?
ReplyDeletejari: I got mine on ebay, it shipped from Hong Kong, but it came super fast, and if I remember correctly it was free shipping as well. :)
ReplyDeletepeppermint*tea: it's not too bad... some people think it is. They come in packages of 10 photos, and usually around $10 per pack, so $1/photo on average. I just got 4 packs of 10 for $30 on ebay.
i'm still wanting one soooo bad.
ReplyDeleteAwe, those cameras are so cute!! I want to buy them all! :)
ReplyDeleteoh ! cute ! it's a good idea for my mother's day :)

i want one for my 30. birthday this year. always wanted to have a polaroid camera but since the films are even more expensive than the ones for the instax i'd rather have one of those. they seem to be fun.
