- I called my mom to come over and we made cinnamon buns together. They turned out MIGHTY good, and this is the recipe I used. Thank you Michael Smith. (except I want a KitchenAid mixer even more now.... my arms are sore!)
- We finally ordered a change table for Delilah's nursery. (we didn't have one with Simon, and it was very inconvenient, so I'm so excited we'll have one this time)
- I want to put this decal on the wall above the change table.

- I am also very excited to have a diaper bag, a REAL diaper bag, made for that purpose! (first one I've had, and it's a freaking nice one at that!)
- My freezer has lots of pizzas and lasagnas and baked goods in it, making "husband-made" dinners easy.
- A cute crocheted hat is waiting to be worn home from the hospital.
- nursing stuff has been ordered.
I still need to:
- catch up on the laundry.... there's mountains.
- buy a package of 'N' diapers.
- finish sewing 2 stroller blankets.
- buy yarn to finish the one edge on pink crocheted afghan.
- make granny squares. (when I feel like it, I'm not expecting to finish it before she comes)
- make 2 chicken lasagnas for the freezer. (we'll be eating a lot of lasagna.... but hey, it's easy to make and freeze, and I know I'll be thankful for them later)
- clean the stroller.
- install the infant car seat.
- get a few more sleepers.... if she was born tomorrow, she'd only have one to wear! and you momma's know that just won't cut the mustard.
- that's all I can think of for now.....
I'm full-term now. 37 weeks.
She could be here soon, or it could be 5 more weeks.... so we just wait.

oooh! whats the recipe for your chicken lasagne if you don't mind my asking? if you dont mind sharing you could email it to me if you wanted.

Yep you've officially made me hungry. ;-) It's ok though, I'll forgive you this time.
ReplyDeleteI love the decal for above the changing table. Gonna look for some more of those for inspiration.
Hi Holly, I love your little blog, you are so inspiring. Congratulations on being full term, I am expecting my first and I am 36 weeks so not far behind you! Inspired by you I am going to make some bunting for my little one's room. Well he will be in with me so it will be for our room. And I will make it today, ~I will, I keep telling myself. Even though like you there are chore bores to do. A spooky thing too, you made cinnamon buns and I had cinnamon toast for the first time ever! Spooky! Good luck with baby no.2. if you are not on here for a while we will know why

Congrats and good luck!
ReplyDeleteBabies make me so excited! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOhhh Holly it's going to happen soon! I've been so MIA from the Internet for the last couple of months that I lost track of how soon it's going to be! I'm quite excited for you to join the newborn club and I hope for your sake that it's 3 weeks and not 5. I also hope that you get to do everything you want to do before D. comes, because I know from experience that it can throw you off if she decides to show up early (I also know though that everything works out in the end and I'm sure it will for you too.)
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking your blog often for news, good luck!
how exciting. It's getting close. It's so exciting to have a real nappy bag. My hubby brought me one the other day while we were away for the weekend, so CUTE!
ReplyDeletethat decal is so cute! would love to have it in my work space to brighten it up and make me smile
ReplyDeletemmm...cinnamon buns! That wall decal is adorable, I'm sure she'll love it ;) Sounds like you are ready for her arrival!
ReplyDeletei hadn't read your blog in aaages (way, way too long) and now i can't believe you're 37 weeks! yay! i just had my first baby (jonah) 4 months ago, and that third trimester seemed to last forever. i read all through your posts from the last few months - i was so excited to see what's been happening. simon is so cute and i can't wait to see baby lilah. all the best! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by these N' diapers. We use G diapers but I've never heard of N. When I looked them up I found a bunch of "sexy time" diaper wearers. I'm sure these aren't the same you're needing to pick up..or maybe they are...no judgement.
ReplyDeleteBy N I mean size N, newborn. Not sure about the other ones you've seen. I use the size N Swaddlers from Pampers.
ReplyDeleteWell that makes a lot more sense. G diapers are cloth diapers that you can use either a cloth or a disposable/ flushable insert. Pretty neat if that's the route you're taking.
ReplyDelete- Swaddlers are so sweet, tiny and soft. Ugh I wish my lil one could squeeze her big ole 7 month old buns in them still.
Hi, just found your blog, love it. I see your due with your second baby, which is a girl on may 9th! Congrats! I am also due with my second who is also a girl! (first was a boy, who will be 17 months on May 2nd) Just thought it was cool that we had that in common. Hope all is well, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog while looking at DIY mobiles and am so happy I did! My second is due on May 10th! So, Im feeling your pain gal. I still have a crib skirt and mobile to finish. Good luck to you and will be looking forward to many visits to your sweet blog!
ReplyDeleteOh girl--if you lived closer to me, I could totally hook you up with baby girl stuff. I seriously have loads of it still left from my littlest one. You are right--one sleeper won't cut it. If you are coming through Springfield, give me a holler.
