  6. CONGRATS!!! Owning a home is so much fun! I'm partial to darker colors so my house has dark blue walls, dark teal walls, and black walls. I also have 45 (ish) windows in the house and white trim so that keeps it from being a dungeon.

  9. Congrats on the new house! Thats very exciting. We just moved into our place this past weekend. We are renting and hope to buy next year. I can't wait so I can actually do what I want to the house without having to ask the owner.

  13. WhoaMama: it's the 2nd house we made an offer on.
    Amanda: we'll have the whole house, but it's only 1004 sq ft, so not huge or anything.
    Jari: we'll still only have 2 bedrooms upstairs, and one for Simon downstairs, so there isn't a lot of room, but we'll think of something if you come!! :D

  21. Congrats! Always fun and exciting to decorate a new place! I recently moved and picking paint colors is VERY hard! I went with a lot of blues. Summer Sorbet by Valspar is a nice light blue I used in my bathroom.

  22. I'm moving April 1st, too! I'm wanting to paint the living room/dining room a mustard color. I reupholstered these dining room chairs to a 6 seater, dark wood, vintage set we bought with a gorgeous trio of fabric patterns that all had mustard yellow in them.

  24. i'd do one room in grey, peach, mint and muted yellow. with the sunlight streaming in. and lots of white pillows and blankets and curtains.
