la la la love.

Just some random things I'm loving this cold tuesday.
- Cuuuute foxy stuff from redvelvetart.com, like this painting!
...and this fab kit.
- mitten weather.  This cold day brought a bit of motivation to finish up the knit mittens I have on the go at the moment.  I always love Silje's mittens... she makes some great fall designed ones.
- scheming to own a Mackage leather jacket from Aritzia. It's like gold, it's so lovely.

- my cute new Kurt Halsey necklace.

(not my photo)
- hot apple cider!
Here's my recipe for the girls who were interested....
-2 litres apple juice (preferably pressed, but any kind works great)
-2 cups cranberry juice/cocktail
-a splash of orange juice. just a splash.
-2 cinnamon sticks
-1/4 cup Cinnamon Dolce syrup from Starbucks (you can buy it there)
-1/4 cup brown sugar
-dash of nutmeg (optional, because some people don't like floaties, lol)
Combine all ingredients in a pot, and simmer until desired heat. Top with real whipped cream and caramel drizzle if you want it to resemble a Caramel Apple Spice. :)

look for my embroidery patterns on the rva site soon! :)

These patterns are great for fall tea towels to decorate your kitchen, or for cute wall art pieces, pillow cases, and more! <3

I designed some cute patterns that remind me of all the things to keep you cozy in fall time.
I hadn't spent much time embroidering lately, so I enjoyed making this!

playlist etc.

Viv inspired me to post a playlist. It's not necessarily autumn inspired, though it is what I love to listen to right now. Some of it is fall-ish I guess. :)  Random fun fact, the Yellowcard song is actually the song I walked down the isle to at my wedding. :)  ...and the last song is one of my fave hardcore bands, why not end it with a bang! :P
(ps: is there any fast way to have this as an actual playlist on my blog for you to listen to?)

We went on a picnic today.
I made pb&j on white (!) bread. It was a treat.
pressed apple juice was shared.
It was a good way to spend this warmer than usual evening, despite all the mosquitos.
We noticed this field right beside the flying club where we were picnicing was FULL of geese, just hanging out, and Ryan thought it would be fun to go stir them up. :) He's funny.  I tried to capture this moment on video, but you can't really see them... but you can hear them! It was pretty awesome. (excuse my silly intro)
some polyvore fun: I like autumn attire. :) (and that Orla bag!)

pretty sure this is the cutest LPS ever.
I like that Simon & I enjoy playing with LPS and I think I want to expand his collection, for the both of us. :) Sometimes it's nice to play with something other than tractors and trains.

wanna see somethin' cuuute?

lol, Ryan & I never take photos with eachother.... maybe we should do a fun shoot sometime?

baby fever.

How cute is this little dude? I love the cute stuff from Small Paul, by Paul Frank.
This stroller is so RAD! Officially on the baby wish list, just fyi.

Also, SewnNatural Etsy shop is full of cute eco-friendly handmade goods for little ones.

I was drawn to the cute dresses. Can you tell I want a girl?
These blankets are sweet too. (Also from SewnNatural)

alsooooo, the lovely Eames rocker is on the wishlist as well... so lovely.

Rachel's rubbing off on me with her love of the rocker...

(vintage chic patterns found here.)

ps: if you're in the mood to check out some new music...

Check out Lydia.  A friend told me to check them out, and I'm not sorry I did.  Their sound is as lovely as their album art, if not lovlier. :)

tomorrow is a new week.

I'm growing a baby.

so I guess that's why I feel so awful.
Today was one of those downer days that brought my faded memory back.. of what pregnancy is all about.. and it's hard work.  Not sure how woman are made to just forget about the yucky parts and want to do it all over again (God is clever I guess).
So I had a useless day.  All I did was nibble on toast, and lie flat on this couch.  Hoping tomorrow will be a lil brighter.

To distract me, I was browsing some gorgeous fashion sites, and I'm in love with the photos from Rodel La.
crocheted clothes and feather eyelashes please! (be still my heart)

This crewelwork treehouse is also lovely! Found here.

ok, off to sleep (some more! I slept 18 hours of the last 24..)
hoping to feel better and work on some fun projects from Rachel & Elsie's Autumn class, or do a few more rows on my squirrel mittens. Steph's beating me. lol.

oh what a day is today.

It has not been the best of mornings, but the rest of the day will be better.

I've been a lil obsessed with knitting lately, and Helen Dardik's new pattern is lovely!

I wish it was a fabric...

I got happy mail from Jari today! Scentsy love, and some handmade sweetness too! <3

it's back to work...

He's 2 today.

Time sure flies.
Ok, I have a ton of stuff to do before everyone comes over.... see we were supposed to have an outdoor bbq, but it hasn't stopped raining since yesterday, so we're moving it inside (620 sq.ft!!) It's gonna be a cozy evening! ;)

Gotta go get started on those cheeseburger cupcakes! :)
