and a way cute idea for littlest pet shop friends! genius. (lady bubbles is my fave) perfect gift idea for a little girly.

-Ravelry! sheesh, talk about knitting overload. I've found so many great patterns & tips.  Can't wait to try making these swedish mittens with Steph on our knitting date!!
(ps: I'm almost done the other mitten. yessss)

-Aritzia's Fall Preview.... so inspiring, omg.  The photos are lovely.

-my aunt took this photo from her balcony and I just love it.

inviting isn't it? I just want to hang out there with a good read, or some knitting. (lol can you tell I'm slightly obsessed with knitting right now?)

it's 31 degrees out, for real.

and I'm making mittens? yeah!
Steph & I bought some pretty Noro yarn on the weekend, and I had to make something with it. She inspired me to give mittens another try, and I'm sooo pumped that I completed my first successful mitten, the thumb and all! :P
Now I have to make the other one I guess....
ha, feels silly being so excited about mittens on such a hot day!
oh well.

Here's a random list of things I like today...
-Adding art to my house. I have art from Elsie, Rachel, Ashley G., Emily Martin, Angelina Wrona, and a few of my own things as well... and I have fallen in love with Art&Ghosts' work as well.  I love these prints so much. swoon.
-this.

-this. oh, and this one too.

-I am inspired by Kate O'Connor's embroidery..

-I've not made up my mind about what I think about Blythe dolls... but what I do know is that these dresses are *adorable*. Sheesh!

I just LOVE them. They make me want to have my own Blythe. Maybe I will one day.

and I may or may not have got myself a cuuute new LPS friend the other day... :)

We're gonna have cute photo shoots. I think. (anyone collect LPS? I would love to know! I used to when they were itty bitty, and I was like 6, lol)

-It's the good ol' Corn & Apple festival this weekend in Morden! The largest street festival in Canada or something like that...
I'm not a rides person, but I do love going up town to stroll the booths, and get lemon heaven lemonade & cotton candy!

Have a great weekend!

new favorites.

This is Posers.  It's a new art gallery in Morden, and it's less than a block away from my salon! (sweet!) It just opened up, so I went to check it out yesterday.  It had a lot of great art, and I was able to pick up a really cute print of a painting by Angelina Wrona.

I got the one on the left.  I looove the right one too.
The new gallery is going to have new art every few weeks, and workshops this fall, so I'm really pumped!

The gallery also has a great selection of loose teas, so I had to try one.  I absolutely looooove it.  It's one of the best teas I've ever had. seriously.

It's so great to find things I love locally, and support them!

Here's a few recent Etsy favorites as well:

*adorable* plush at minelolly.

this top by Replicca. **lovelove**

a cute nintendo ds pouch that Silje made.

and this cute vintage plaque.

Simon and I are chilling at home for now, and later we'll go out to the track and watch Ryan ride dirtbike.. :)  Hoping to get more crocheting done, and read some more. Oh, and of course have more tea!!
Happy Sunday. XOxo

some photo inspiration.

it's HOT!

this photo:
was the inspiration for Jenna's hair makeover yesterday..... and it looks fabulous!! love it. It was so fun... I'm also coloring my hair tomorrow so we need to do a photoshoot or something. :)

Some fun news... I felt like being spontaneous and doing something FUN and ADVENTUROUS for my husbands 27th birthday, so I'm taking him to Banff!!
The Rockies are so beautiful and he loves them, so I can't wait!

a list of a couple fun things I feel like sharing:

--I think this summer color combo is the bomb!! Chartreuse & turquoise.
photo cred: seesaw designs via indierocket on flickr.

-- Head over here to get your spot for the newest craft class by Rachel & Elsie!!  You're going to love making handmade gifts for all your friends & family with the 30 awwwwsome projects. I can't wait. :)  Sign up!

-- I felt like trying something different for a change, the last time I went to Starbucks...
Vanilla bean frappuccino with Toffee Nut & 1 shot of espresso.....
mmmmmmmmmmmm, enough said. ;)

-- Did you guys get to watch the meteor shower last night?? Jenna and I watched it for a little while after midnight, and saw quite a few meteors! It was aweseome.
I love outer space. love it.

-- "17 again" is a fantastic movie.

-- I'm 150 pages from finishing Twilight. New Moon is on my dining room table, motivating me to finish it..... right now. bye!

fashion*loves

I took a spontaneous trip to the city yesterday after hearing that my favorite store had a sale. :)
I was pleasantly inspired by the tags (of all things!) on the items I bought.
this one had lovely cross stitch detail on it.  It's actually stitched on the tag.

aren't they pretty?

on the same fashion theme... I loooooved watching the Bachelorette this season.  Not only for entertainment, but also for the inspiration from Jill's wardrobe!! I loved everything she wore, and I loved that she used Canadian designers!  This video puts some of her looks together....
such a fan.
I've never been one to care about following a certain trend... until now, which is a result, I think, of caring more about how I dress myself & finding a store that has soooo many beautiful and unique things!!

just a little peek into what I'm thinking about today...

(lol notice Twilight and my current crochet project in the background.)
