mid week blahs.

I've been feeling the mid week blahs... but thanks to many sources, along with my trusty macbook, I've been able to find some eye candy and inspiration.  Thanks to Steph for sharing Figs & Ginger:

this adorable necklace would make the perfect gift for a mother. you can have up to 4 baby birdies on it! :)
and these studs are just so sweet.

And after seeing this on Elsie's blog... I had to head over to madmenyourself.com!

sooo fun.

Also, Rachel shared a link to ZurZa, and I couldn't believe all her fabulous garments! Each is a creation in itself.

so pretty. so so pretty.
ps: have you checked out her new blog?? It's SO great.

so thanks ladies that helped cure my case of the mid week blahs! XO
I'm just on a break from work right now, and I'll either
a. read Twilight some more (I'm a slow reader)
b. nap
c. work on more wedding photos
see what I mean? blah.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend away (camping!!) and can't wait to get my creativity flowing again with new ideas brewing for fall goodness. :D

it was a grand opening.

we served cupcakes of course! (decorating cupcakes is one of my favorite things to do!)
We renovated our salon a little, and I loooove the new splash of color.

We had a wee ribbon cutting event to symbolize our new adventure.
Lots of people came down and we gave away sooo many great prizes! I had a great day, and I'm really looking forward to improve my business and build it to what we want it to be.  It's exciting.  Thanks to everyone to came and supported us!

On a more creative note: I feel like I hit the jackpot with whip up!  I was looking for inspiration and I certainly found it.  I love this granny'esque yoga mat bag... I'm going to make it on the weekend.
this tea wallet is brilliant.
and I've been looking for good re-purposing tutorials, and these are oozing with sweetness.
how adorable!! the pants are made from men's shirt sleeves!

and this one is fab too.

sheesh my mind is FULL of ideas, making it hard to shut down and sleep... but boy do I need sleep, after a week like last week.
I'm looking forward to a chill'er week with some:
-crafting for me
-reading time
-beach time
-friends
-cooking at home
-getting ready for a camping trip. :)

Shout out to my sis Jackie in NYC on vacation!! Hope you're having a blast!

ps: excited for the Bachelorette finale tonight... who do you think she'll pick???

hanging out with Simon.

he likes to be in photos, and watch himself on photobooth. :)

He's learning his numbers and his alphabet.  (lol, and he's not even 2!)
He stays with his Auntie Jackie sometimes when I go to work, and they work on counting to 10 and saying the alphabet.   I wanted to show him off a little I guess... :)

back to work!

NEWS!!!

I'm a paper doll!! :)

more than that..... I'm going to be a Red Velvet Art Girl!!
HOLY COW. I've hardly been able to contain myself the last few days, but today the secrets out.
Thanks Elsie for the adorable painting!

I have admired the RVA girls for a long time, and to be working with them is a dream come true.  When I visited in May I fell in love with Elsie and Rachel, and what they have with the store, and how they work as a team.  I can't wait to contribute, and be a part of it.  The future is bright (and colorful and cute and fun and.. you get the picture)

I'm happy.
I'm honored.
(to say the vvvery least)

where I go to be inspired...

I thought I would share with you some links to inspire on this monday.
N.E.E.T Magazine #15 is seriously fulllll of amazing photography. (not to mention the good vintage/etsy shop links)

I was introduced to Raphael Vicenzi from N.E.E.T and was immediately drawn to his art, despite it's somewhat morbid nature... it's just beautiul!

The photos are beyond inspiring, and the book itself is gorgeous.  I browsed through it over and over again in Indigo on saturday... it's officially on my wishlist.
MK & A interview many of their influential mentors in life, as well as share about their personal journey as young entrepreneurs.

my TOAST catalogue.
I'll admit I don't purchase anything from them, but I do adore their catalogue and love flipping through it and swooning over the pages when it comes in the mail.
I've put together some of my favorite pages..

I also go to the mall to be inspired... Aritzia to be specific.  The store itself is inspiring, and so are the fashions.   Like this top by UNIF.

(that was for you jbean) :)

time for bed.
I'm just full of happy thoughts, I can't fall asleep...
