little survey for fun.

I've had quite the boring day... slept most of the morning away, and still not feeling 100%.. recovering from a flu of sorts.  Here's a little survey as an excuse to post some eye candy.  Feel free to do this survey on your blog as well, and leave the link in the comments. :)

1.  What is the latest piece of artwork you have purchased.

2. What's a recipe you have been dying to try, but haven't got around to it yet?

3. Post a photo from your flickr favorites that is inspiring to you at the moment.
this beautiful nursery.

4. What's something you have been enjoying as of late?
cross stitching!  I'll post photos of my projects later on, for now I'll share this amazing project!

5. What's something you would like to try?
Quilting, believe it or not. This one is sooo pretty.

6. What's something you're looking forward to in June?

... and getting a Blackberry. (yayyyy! lol)

Ok, I hear Simon woke up....

fabulous find!

I stumbled across the site Fawn & Forest, and fell in love! (no, I'm not pregnant, in case you were wondering) but as a mom I get all giddy over cute & modern baby/toddler/nursery stuff!  Here's some of my favorite items from the site.
cute family tree wall hanging.

robots and horses on organic onesies.
paul frank wall decals.
I want this bedding for Simon when he graduates to a junior bed!!
adorable baby/toddler clothing.
stunning crib sets. (seriously stunning)
I love the green/blue/white color palette!

and the mustard/grey/pink/magenta color palette too!

modern prints for blankets.

and so much more!!
Check it out if you're a mom (to-be) or if you're searching for that perfect & unique baby/child's gift. :)

rva mini.

here's photos of the mini album I made.  I used a method that I learned from Leigh-Ann at an album class she taught at Lune Vintage a few weeks ago.  It was different than ones I've done in the past, and I loved it!

I thought it would be fun to use the rva paper dolls in my album too!  The little envelope holds the little paper goodies.  So fun!

and I did a separate layout for my scrapbook as well.  It's with my favorite photo of the weekend. :)  I like the black cabochons that I got from atomicveggie.etsy.com

and of course I couldn't go to a scrapbooking getaway without doing at least one layout of Simon! :)  Thanks for taking these awesome photos of him Jackie. <3

and for fun.... my new favorite tee!!

I got it here, and the package was sooooo cute!! There were lots of extra surprises in there like super cute hot short undies! :):) Talk about happy mail, I'll be shopping there again.

All for now, time for a slurpee break.  I love spring.

much needed restful weekend...

(the cover of my mini album I made about my trip to Springfield, I'll blog the rest tomorrow)
I'm back from the cottage, and let me tell you... it was a great time! I loooooove hanging out with you ladies (you know who you are!) and I was very well taken care of since I got sick right before we left!! Fevers and nasal congestion don't usually make for a good time, but it was none the less.  We were crafting, scrapping, eating yummy food, having random dance parties, and imagining funny conversations between crows... ha!
I'll post more photos tomorrow. bedtime.

Congrats Judith! E-mail me at holly.neufeld(at)gmail.com with your address, so I can send you this cuuuute brooch!! It's so adorable, it'll be hard to part with, lol!

I'm off for a relaxing weekend of scrapbooking with the girls! It's been a year since we last got together to scrap, so I have lllots of catching up to do!  Can't wait to make a fun mini album about my time in Springfield. I have so many cute photos. :):)

ps: who else thinks Jesse McCartney's song "How do you sleep" is the cutest pop song right now... hehe, it's my song of the day.  So not my typical music style, but it's soooo catchy!

Back Monday!
Have a great weekend everyone!

polaroids are lovely.

especially if they're with lovely people. <3

I miss elsie lots already. :(

but I've been verrrry inspired by my weekend away, and I've decided to collect things I love by artists I love to make little collections to display throughout my home.  This is something that lots of people do, but I've never known exactly what I want to display in these collections.  I'm going to start by acquiring some aceo's.  Looking forward to the rva update tomorrow, there's a few I have my eye on. :)

after listening to tunes with jenna in airplanes, I'm a fan of ingrid.  love lovely. :)

happy report: my luggage has been found! I will get it back tonight thank GOODness.  I miss my makeup and my clothes, lol.

coooool stuff, and a giveaway (as promised!)

So after winning a giveaway over at Janel's blog, I was challenged to pay it forward! I thought it would be cool to get a little something special to giveaway from Red Velvet Art while I was in Springfield. :)  So the lucky winner will receive this cuuuuuute wooden underwear brooch!  All you gotta do is check out the Red Velvet Art online store and come back here and leave a comment.  I'll pick a winner this Friday afternoon.

Speaking of RVA... Elsie posted some rad photos of new stuff that's going to be in her update this week. :):)  Including some super soft cashmere cuffs that I was able to make them.  I'm in love with them.
they double as coffee cozies! (there's 2 buttons)

I get soooo happy when I can use my abilities to make cute things for people I SO greatly admire.  Elsie's store is amazing, and I'm soooo thankful I could see it.  She's a huge role model to me.

so, on a different note... nwa lost our luggage!! Talk about BUMMER!  I feel kinda lost, lol.  I don't have makeup, or clothes, or my arbonne, blowdryer, all the stuff I bought this weekend, nothing!  I'm crossing my fingers it gets here before I leave for the weekend (again!! I'm going on a scrapbooking getaway!!)

I'll leave you with one of my newest addictions... bubble tea!  I had the passionfruit shaken green tea at Tea Drops in KC, and it was fanTAStic. mmmmm  (ignore the creepy colors of this photo, lol)
