and I'm making mittens? yeah!
Steph & I bought some pretty Noro yarn on the weekend, and I had to make something with it. She inspired me to give mittens another try, and I'm sooo pumped that I completed my first successful mitten, the thumb and all! :P
Now I have to make the other one I guess....
ha, feels silly being so excited about mittens on such a hot day!
oh well.

Ah, we're in Manitoba. It'll likely be frosty within a day or two. : P
ReplyDeletei know exactly what you mean when you say "i guess i have to make the other one." I made a mitten in about one or two days last november and I still haven't started the second!
ReplyDeleteMittens are always something to be excited about, doesn't matter what season!
ReplyDeletehere in idee.ho {idaho} it's always cold! you can bet i'll be needed to pull my winter clothes out for good in a few weeks!
ReplyDeletelove your blog!
i'm so proud of you for doing the mitten! i'm going out to find that book today... i started with a basic knit stitch yesterday and now i've ended up with a big rectangle! ha! i guess i could make a wrist cuff! :D
ReplyDeletexo!
nice mittens.
ReplyDeleteYou can always knit using the magic-loop and knit two at a time. Good luck knitting the other one
Lovely mitten! I've not tried mittens yet, but hope to soon. Noro is on my list for a future project. I'm currently working on a very chunky, cable-filled scarf. Love the pattern. (ravelry) You're right, does feel a bit silly on a hot day, but then we live in MB and it's not gonna be hot for long. :)
ReplyDeletewhaaaaat? it's 109 here! trade ya? :)
