took this photo for Jari with my blackberry, while I was on a grocery run this morning. She made me the cozy on my latte. :)
I've been a little m.i.a! Well we went camping at Clear Lake, MB on the weekend, and if it weren't for Jenna & Kelsey taking care of us, it wouldn't have been enjoyable... I'm NOT a camper, but it was still a good time. The most exciting part was the bear on our campsite!!
So I just wanted to pop in and say hi... July was such a cah-razy busy month, so I'm looking forward to August. I'm on holidays, and working on some autumn projects (sooooo excited to show you laterrrr!)
Any of you working on summer projects? I'd love to hear about them, I feel like I need some inspiration....
Jenna & I crocheted a yoga mat bag this weekend, and I'll post a photo when it's all done. :)

My summer projects have all been house stuff (just moved) or Alice in Wonderland stuff. I'm working on this cabinet but I can't find the style of legs/arms I want http://geekdetails.com/blog/?p=1391
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll find something eventually though. /sigh
Aaah, I have so many projects in my head, it's about to drive me crazy. Some summer-into-fall things are:
ReplyDelete- finish Keith's bday gift (a collection of cross-stitched super nintendo characters)
- some embroideries for the wall
- bead bracelet
- leather cuffs
- granny square afghan (started this one :D)
- moon pillow
- Russian doll pillow
- Keith has asked for two embroidered shirts
- earring holder
- knit mittens & cowl
..and I won't go on. Oy. I know they all won't get done.. but right now I want to so they are staying on my list, lol.
Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you were going camping with your family. Change of plans?
i've moved on from summer projects, and am now in the throes of autumn/holiday projects!! here's a sampling - be warned, all are knitting!
ReplyDelete* several baby sweaters for all the new babes being brought into my world.
* knitting patterns i'll start sharing on my blog in a few weeks.
* a big afghan for a housewarming present.
* hats abounding for everyone i know.
* adorable little girl sweaters for a few special pre-teens.
so much more, but that's all that' son the needles as i type!
love the bow in your hair, by the way - must remember to accessorize my head!
you are two cute.
ReplyDeleteexcited to see your projects!
mine for this summer is a quilt for my nephew...it's a work in slow progress--very, very slow progress. but, that's what summer's are for, right? :)
I'm going to Clear Lake in a few weeks! We rent a cabin there every year and I absolutely love it. Clear Lake is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the latte cozy!
I love Clear Lake! Many fond memories of camping there when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteI have sooooo many ideas in my head right now for autumn-ish projects - mainly involving my little jewellery-making "business" - I'm thinking acorns, oak leaves, squirrels, owls... the list goes on! All my summer projects are pretty much done, or will be in the next week or two. I did the IDSS art journal (which I only recently finished) and lots of sewing and some re-finishing of things (spray/painting bookshelves and tables), sprucing up some garage sale finds, etc.
Can't wait to hear about your autumn projects!
P.S. Love your nails :)
oh my goodness how stinkin' adorable!! luvs it!
ReplyDeletecrafting goals... finding time (and energy) to actually craft!!
you're not a camper... me either... check out my blog... there is the funniest pine air freshner... totally explains the non-camper! lol
yay! i'm glad you like it... and use it!
ReplyDeleteand your bow.. i really wish i would have gotten one of those cuuuties!

I saw that crochet yoga bag, I think it's adorable! Can't wait to try making it.
ReplyDeletesummer projects include making headbands [lots and lots of headbands], learning how to embroider, and making fruit cupcakes! :]
good luck on your projects, doll!
xo.
My summer projects have all been pushed aside lately, and now I'm thinking ahead to Fall. I'll be away for most of August so when I get back from my travels I'm going to dive into Fall projects, even if it's too "early". Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by those awesome blue nails!!!
