busy bee..

Today is another busy day..... meeting with the welcome wagon reps, going to the local radio station for a presentation on effective advertising,  booking a highway billboard for the salon. :) :), getting spring ready toes with a pedicure (one of the many perks of owning your own day spa, yesss), working at 12noon, booked solid until 8.  It's all fun though.   In all the busyness, I still make time in the evening to craft for myself too.  Some projects I've been working on are:

-granny square afghan (13 squares done, only about 100 to go, lol)
-scrapbook for Ryan (it was supposed be a valentines gift, but I'm still not done)
-experimental embroidery!

I had fun using different materials like beads and brads, and ribbon, and yarn for this cute piece.  The pattern is designed by elsie (of course) from the whack load of awesome patterns we got from the "Pretty" class.

Ok, hopping in the shower while Simon is enjoying is Wubbzy.
xoxo, holly

ps: it's posts like these that make your day.  Thanks so much for that Janel.

  2. I don't know how you do it. I get squirrelly when I'm half that busy.

    You're a brave girl. I don't think I could make 113 granny squares. I'm more of a small projects person. :P

Enjoy your day (and your pedicure)!

  7. steph, I'm the same way, being a small projects person, and I think that's why I like the granny squares, lol. I can sit down and make 3 and feel like I made something, each square is like a mini project! I may only be done that afghan in like a year... :P

joy: thanks! you thread the ribbon through a big embroidery needle, and then poke it through the end of it again to get it securely on the needle, and just reeeeef it through the fabric, lol. It's sorta difficult at first, but you get the hang.

jari: you tube vids, and sublimestitching.com! :)
