I got to decorate some yummy cupcakes for a bridal shower last week, and I used the Kitschy Digitals Feather Accent kit to make the toppers. You can buy the kit here.
One of the recent projects for the Pretty Online Class was creating a family portrait out of felt! I figured it sounded like fun, so this is what I came up with.
Yesterday, Jenna and I got together to break in her new sewing machine! It was a blast. It felt so good just to hang out and make stuff! We started off by making cushion covers. Jenna had this super cool pattern from Amy Butler of a pillow with a felt "snow mum" flower on it, so we changed up the pattern a bit and made them our own! Colourful too! I'll post photos once I stuff it.
Then we watched the movie "Once". I enjoyed it, and thought it was very well done. I love the voices, and of course the Irish accents... but it was sort of sad. It was still good though, I'd like to watch it again before I send it back to Zip.ca.
Off to work for the rest of the day.

Those cupcakes are gorgeous. My best friend has a serious thing for peacock feathers and these would be perfect for her birthday!! And what a cute felt family!

I was raving about them at work the next day and said I would find out who made them. Well now I know! They were perfect - light and fluffy, not too sweet, and I loved the sprinkle of sugar on top. Maybe you could make them again sometime.....
