sketch-a-day

ok, so lately I have been SUPER inspired by Jason Yang, aka InvisibleElement.  His sketches have caught my attention.  He does a "sketch-a-day".

I love the simplicity and boldness. (I've gathered the above images from Jason's flickr)

Since coming home from Sosua, I feel I'm in a bit of a creative rut.. tired, both emotionally, and physically.  Jason's concept has inspired me to try this challenge myself.  Starting tomorrow, I'm challenging myself to do a sketch a day in my moleskine for one month.  I will post my sketches here, along with the prompts, if you feel like sketching along with me.  :)  I'll most likely be focusing on simple objects and typography.

I'm hoping this will get my creative juices flowing again.
xoxo, holly

  1. Ooooh! He's so creative. I should probably start sketching more. I'm feeling my creative flow start to slow down.

  2. I think that's a great challenge. I may join you on that. I've been feeling like I'm in a rut lately too, and have been getting down on myself for not being productive.
